Just Enterprise is dedicated to helping Scottish social enterprises and income-generating Third Sector organisations to build a just, equitable, and sustainable future for all. By working collectively, we can tackle the climate crisis in a way that benefits both society and the planet.
But the transition to net zero must be just. As we decarbonise our economy, we must also address long-standing inequalities and ensure the benefits are shared widely. No one should be left behind in the move to a climate-safe future and we want to help Scotland’s Third Sector to lead the way.
In partnership with our friends at Growing Climate Confidence, we are developing a repository of all the resources and learning opportunities you need to take your first (or next) steps on the journey to Net Zero.
We know that learning about climate change and net zero can be overwhelming – there’s so much to read, watch and think about.
So, a great first step you can take is to complete the Growing Climate Confidence scorecard. This fantastic tool helps organisations like yours to assess where you are on your net zero journey, generates a bespoke list of practical action points based on your answers and then signposts you to the funding and support you might need to make the suggested changes.
Once you have completed the scorecard, further enhance your knowledge with our programme of webinars around the scorecard themes of Engagement, Travel, Buying & Selling, Waste and Buildings & Energy.
Join our Net Zero mailing list to receive relevant content and to be the first to hear about upcoming webinars and opportunities.

SCVO’s Growing Climate Confidence – Carbon Reduction Workshop: How to Tell Your Sustainability Journey
The Carbon Reduction session aims to help create your sustainability story in a simple, fast and fun workshop for any organisation feeling lost and overwhelmed.
Why sign up?
Facilitated by the team at Small 99, you’ll leave the workshop with a plan of action that will not only win you more supporters and donors with a compelling sustainability story, but also ensure your organisation is doing the right thing. This will go beyond just surviving as an organisation, helping you to thrive as a sustainability leader. The workshop will help you to:
- Craft your action plan and gain a roadmap to Net Zero (CPD accredited).
- Master storytelling to win customers and become a sustainability leader.
- Uncover hidden cost savings and reduce your environmental impact.
- Gain a grasp of key sustainability language and understand the nuances between carbon neutrality and net zero.
You’ll leave with a plan to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030, in line with the science on climate change.
“I found the workshop hugely insightful, especially comparing where I thought the highest emissions for my organisation come from to where they actually do! It’s a brilliant starting point for building your carbon reduction plan, taking away the scary element of not knowing where to begin or how to find the important info!”
