Our privacy notice as stated below discloses our practices regarding information collection and usage solely for the website located at https://justenterprise.org (the ‘website’). Our privacy notice does not apply to any other websites or services.
Privacy Notice
At Just Enterprise, we respect and value your privacy and we want to engage with you in a fair and open manner. We have created this privacy notice to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy.
The privacy notice gives you information on how Just Enterprise collects, uses, shares and looks after your personal information. Personal information, or personal data, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. Anything we do with your personal information (from the point at which we collect it, until we delete it from our systems) is called processing.
The privacy notice applies when you visit our website, create an account with us, when we provide services to you, or when you have asked to receive marketing information from us. The privacy notice will also tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
Who We Are
Just Enterprise is a Scottish Government funded programme supporting the growth and sustainability of Scotland’s third sector. Scottish Government is the Data Controller for the Just Enterprise programme. This means that they are ultimately responsible for managing how the programme, collects, holds and uses personal information about you.
The programme is delivered by a consortium of partners: CEIS, CEMVO Scotland, Community Enterprise Ltd, Firstport, Impact Hub Inverness, Inspiralba, Inspirent, Social Enterprise Academy, Social Investment Scotland, Social Value Lab and The Circle. CEIS are the managing partner for the programme and they, along with the other consortium partners, are Data Processors for the Just Enterprise Programme. Data Protection Principles
There are some basic data protection principles which we need to comply with. These principles are that your data needs to be:
- Used lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way
- Collected only for valid purposes and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes
- Accurate and kept up to date
- Kept only as long as is necessary for the purposes we have told you about
- Kept securely
Your Data
What type of information will we hold about you?
We may collect, store and use personal information about you that you voluntarily submit to us such as:
- Personal information you submit through our website (www.justenterprise.org), for example when you create an account with us, subscribe to our mailing list or ask us to contact you about our services. Where applicable, this data may include things like your name, the name of your organisation, your email address, telephone number and contact mailing address.
- Data relating to any discussions carried out between you and us submitted via the website or subsequent email exchanges
- Any other personal information that you choose to send us
We may also collect some information about you using cookies or other similar technologies when you browse our website or if you open or click on links in electronic communications from us. Through the use of Google Analytics we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is processed in a way that does not identify anyone.
Why do we collect your information?
We collect, store and process your information in order to provide you with information and support services relevant to your organisation.
- Consent for us to retain your data can be withdrawn at any time by sending a data deletion request to admin@justenterprise.org
We collect other information because we have legitimate business interests in doing so. For example, in:
- Understanding how you use our services and website
- Understanding and responding to feedback
- Researching, analysing and improving our services
- Developing and maintaining relationships with our partners, other organisations within the Third Sector ecosystem and dealing with individuals who work for them
Where will your data be stored?
The Just Enterprise consortium partners are committed to providing a consistent, co-ordinated approach to delivery of services to its clients. To better serve this purpose, the partners have come together to share one cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) system. It is on the CRM system (www.zoho.eu) that all personal information and non-personal information of the Just Enterprise clients are stored.
If you have signed up to our mailing list, your name and email address will be held on MailChimp. (Mailchimp.com) If you respond to requests for feedback, your name and organisation and details of feedback provided will be held on SurveyMonkey (www.surveymonkey.com).
Data Security
The security of your information is very important to us.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, accessed, or used in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Only those personnel who need it to perform their duties are authorised to have access to your personal information and will process it in accordance with this privacy notice. They are also subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Data Sharing
From time to time we may share your data with other sectoral organisations where we believe they may be able to provide you/your organisation with appropriate support relative to your needs. This support may be in addition or complementary to the support you have requested/received from Just Enterprise. Information will be provided in accordance with the data sharing agreements we have in place with them.
Communications with Just Enterprise
By opting in to receive our email communications via Mail Chimp, you expressly consent to receive emails from us. We will not continue to contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone, or text message unless you have given your express prior consent.
You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link which is located at the foot of our marketing emails. Alternatively, you can send an email with your unsubscribe request to admin@justenterprise.org and we will process your request within a reasonable timeframe of receipt.
We are not responsible for removing your personal information from the lists of any third party who has previously been provided with your information in accordance with this Privacy Notice or your consent.
Your Rights
Under the General Protection Data Regulations, individuals have the right to make a request for information, rectification, erasure, transfer and/or object to the processing of their data.
In order to fulfil any such request, we must be able to verify your identity and may ask for further details about you and your contact with Just Enterprise. Anyone wishing to make such requests should put their request in writing to us at admin@justenterprise.org We will endeavour to respond within 31 calendar days, in compliance with the GDPR.
The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change your email address, or if any other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at admin@justenterprise.org. If you have created an account with us, you can log into your account at any time to make changes to any of the information you have provided.
Changes to our Privacy Notice
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions from this Privacy Notice at any time. However, if at any time in the future we plan to use personal information in a way that materially differs from this Privacy Notice, including sharing such information with third parties, we will inform you of such changes and provide you with the opportunity to opt out of such differing uses. Your continued use of the Just Enterprise website and our services following the posting of any changes to this policy means you accept such changes.
Contacting the Regulator
If you feel that your data has not been handled correctly, or you are unhappy with our response to any requests you have made to us regarding the use of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
