Just Enterprise is dedicated to helping Scottish social enterprises and income-generating Third Sector organisations to build a just, equitable, and sustainable future for all. By working collectively, we can tackle the climate crisis in a way that benefits both society and the planet.
But the transition to net zero must be just. As we decarbonise our economy, we must also address long-standing inequalities and ensure the benefits are shared widely. No one should be left behind in the move to a climate-safe future and we want to help Scotland’s Third Sector to lead the way.
In partnership with our friends at Growing Climate Confidence, we are developing a repository of all the resources and learning opportunities you need to take your first (or next) steps on the journey to Net Zero.
We know that learning about climate change and net zero can be overwhelming – there’s so much to read, watch and think about.
So, a great first step you can take is to complete the Growing Climate Confidence scorecard. Developed by the Third Sector for the Third Sector, this fantastic tool helps organisations like yours to assess where you are on your net zero journey, generates a bespoke list of practical action points based on your answers and then signposts you to the funding and support you might need to make the suggested changes.
Once you have completed the scorecard, further enhance your knowledge with our programme of pre-recorded webinars around the scorecard themes of Engagement, Travel, Buying & Selling, Waste and Buildings & Energy.
Where next?
Feel like you need to increase your knowledge and confidence when it comes to your Net Zero journey?
Check out these learning opportunities from trusted sources:
Hosted by Adam Bastock, Founder of Small99, each webinar in the series covers a different topic based on the Growing Climate Confidence Scorecard and features a guest subject expert along with the chance to hear from a fellow Third Sector organisation about the steps they have taken and lessons learned. All webinars are rounded off with a helpful Q and A.
